The League season is now fast approaching its end and as this is written our 1st XI team currently sit in 2nd place in Div 2 and our 2nd XI lie comfortably in Div 7.
July saw the end of our official matches for the juniors. Congratulations to all young cricketers who took part this year, especially those who won awards at our ’end of year’ ceremony on a lovely, summery evening in July.
A week later the U14s put on a good show at Bidborough in the Homeguard Cup and as you’ll see from the report in this newsletter, won the plate in a match v Linton Park B. Some of the older junior cricketers are now eligible to play a part in our adult matches (they know who they are!) and their involvement is valuable and appreciated.
Our senior season’s awards dinner will be held on Friday 6th October this year and ALL members are invited to attend. In November you’ll notice that we’re hosting a quiz – this has always been popular in the past so make a note and look out for more details on both events soon!
