1st XI
KCVL Division 1
Captain: Ben Brandt
By his own admission, Ben’s first year of captaincy (in a pandemic) could have been better. Having gone a whole year without a win, the team was determined to bounce back in 2021. And they did. Seven wins and just five losses in a rain-disrupted season saw the 1st XI finish comfortably mid-table in the top division, despite the absence of several team regulars.
With the prospect of returning players next season, hopes and prospects are high again for another good season in 2022.
League games (40 overs per side) usually begin at 1.30pm on Saturday afternoons and we will play each of the other nine teams in Division One home and away over the course of the season. Fixtures and League Table, as well as a host of Statistics are available on our PlayCricket profile.
2nd XI
KCVL Division 6
Captain: Ben Harrison
The 2nd XI had a strange year. Despite the team not playing any bad cricket this season, they somehow ended up in the relegation zone at the end. As the club suffered with availability as a whole, the team struggled for consistency and despite many highlights, the end result was negative.
Despite this, there is plenty of trust in the talent and experience in the team, and look forward to bouncing back and racking up some wins in 2022.

Sunday XI
While Sunday cricket is in national decline, we recognise it as an important route for young players transitioning to adult cricket, as well as for those returning to the game after a spell of not playing the sport. We host a number of ad-hoc matches throughout the season, so stay tuned, and make yourself available when they happen!
