1st XI
KCVL Division 1
Captain: Ben Brandt
Our previous season of competitive league season saw the 1st XI snaffle their best finishing league position in its history – 2nd. After having an enforced year off league cricket in 2020, the team and new skipper Ben Brandt are raring to go, pushing to equal or better their 2019 standing.
League games (40 overs per side) begin at 1.00pm on Saturday afternoons and we will play each of the other nine teams in Division One home and away over the course of the season. Fixtures and League Table, as well as a host of Statistics are available on our PlayCricket profile.
2nd XI
KCVL Division 6
Captain: Ben Harrison
The 2nd XI currently plays in Division Six of the Kent County Village League and there are high hopes for a strong promotion push again in 2021, after achieving that feat in 2019. As with the first team, the matches start at 1.30pm and are 40 overs per side.
The 2nd XI has struggled with availability in the last five years, but 2019 showed how far the 2nd team can go with numbers to back up the talent. 2021 looks no different as a number of young cricketers have been encouraged to develop into strong cricketers. Skipper Ben Harrison will continue to lead our 2nd team this year, hoping for the magical double promotion. Fixtures and League Table, as well as a host of Statistics are available on our PlayCricket profile.
Sunday XI
While Sunday cricket is in national decline, we recognise it as an important route for young players transitioning to adult cricket, as well as for those returning to the game after a spell of not playing the sport. We have a limited number of matches planned ahead of time, but when the demand occurs we arrange a local fixture with one of a number of friendly clubs.
